Musical Episode #074: Some Got It an hour of funky 45s

Esther Phillips, pictured above, delivers an incredible and super funky rendition of Fever on today’s podcast featuring an hour of funky and soulful 45s, mostly from the late 60’s and early 70s.

  • Listen to this podcast as a Spotify playlist here (though note, spotify doesn’t have all / many of the songs featured on the site so some playlists may be incomplete or feature slightly different versions than the original 45s I’m referring to here.

Happy to be back with another Musical Episode. This week’s mix is a collection of funky and soulful 45s mostly from the late 60s and early 70s. This mix features some instrumentals, lots of big drum breaks and plenty of slinky grooves that I hope you enjoy.

It’s been a little slow in getting mixes up but happy to say I have podcasts scheduled for the next two weeks after this one, a new mix of girl group 45s and another upbeat soul/R&B mix after that so check back in if you’re looking for some nice 45s!

Peace,

-George / Snack Attack
