Greetings all! Happy to be back with another Musical Episode podcast for you all. This weeks mix is a bit looser than usual. I was listening to a weekly show I really like recently and it dawned on me that my insistence on each episode being a cohesive full hour theme really slows me down from putting out new episodes. While I really enjoy putting together episodes with a thread that ties it altogether I often find myself hesitating to even start knowing I won’t have the time to see it through right then. So it gets delayed and delayed and delayed again and next thing you know I haven’t posted in four months. Allowing myself some freedom to treat the podcasts a little more like a radio show at times makes it a lot easier for me to post more consistently. To be clear, that’s not to say radio shows don’t take a lot of work or that they lack the depth of a more refined show!
So with that I hope you enjoy today’s mix, it’s mostly funky soul from the late 60’s, some organ instrumentals, a dash of gospel and more than one tasty drum break. Thanks for listening.
Peace,
-George / Snack Attack
