Greetings everyone! I hope this finds you in good enough spirits and you’ve been able to refill your brain and body. If not, maybe this mix, which is full of powerful music will help give you that little extra boost to keep fighting the good fight.

Today’s collection of 45s take inspiration from the amazing Tina Turner performance on “Bold Sold Sister,” just an amazing performance just overflowing with confidence and beautiful energy. She’s really a living legend and if you haven’t taken the time out to be thankful you co-existed in time with her, now would be a good moment to do that.

Some other favorites in the mix are the New Orleans classics “Reborn” by Marilyn Barbarin and Mary Jane Hooper’s “I’ve Got Reasons.” Both are incredible 45s with superb drumming right up front. Marie, no relation to Carolyn or Aretha, is a West Coast artist who put out some great music but never seemed to break through in a way fitting of her talent and finally I’ll mention Fanny who are a little bit more of a rock outfit but bring us an awesome version of Marvin Gaye’s hit.
